An Original Hardcover Accounting Ledger from the 1950's. Made in the U.S.A. in Holyoke, Mass. by the National Blank Book Company, Columnar Book Series No. 58-300, Model 58-314, spine is marked "58, 314, B-14". The ledger has double page forms with 14 columns to the right. Final page number is 76.
Cover page advertises the book was made with "Eye-Ease Paper" that was supposed to be easier on the eyes, and "End-Bound" banding, with red end-bands for increased durability.
This book was used to keep track of beer, liquor, food and other receipts and expenses for the Moyer Motel, that was purchased by two men in 1958. Included are the original tax receipts, and several copies of the original sale agreement.
Book measures approximately 11" wide x 14-1/4" long x 1" thick.
Ledger is in great shape, with no ripped or missing pages noted. Binding is in good condition. Front and back covers are intact with minor wear to corners and ends. Book is written in and has some light stains/marks noted on some of the pages consistent with normal use.
