This is a fantastic early 1900's brass / bronze counter balance scale with the original trays. This scale was likely used as an apothecary pharmacy scale, or a local general store. This old scale is sized perfectly for a display piece, or it could be used daily as intended.
Measurements: The overall height to the top of the finial is 26". The length of the balance beam is 15", and the overall width with the trays in place is 24". The round trays measure 9" across, and the base is 4" square.
Scale is in good solid condition, with the original aged patina, and generally light cosmetic wear. There are no cracks, breaks, or other structural damage.
