This is a fantastic, steel wire milk crate from 1939, "Hazle Milk And Ice Cream Co., of Hazleton Pennsylvania. The original metal plate is still in tact on the one side of the crate, that reads " Hazle Milk and Ice Cream Co. Hazleton Pa. 3 - 39". Vrate has 12 divided sections which measure approx. 4" x 4". Crate has been painted at some point in the past.
Measures approx. 17" long x 13-1/2" wide x 11" tall
Crate is in good solid condition, with cosmetic wear, and areas of paint loss from age and use. There are also 2 wire pieces missing from the one end, it appears that they were cut and removed on purpose for some unknown reason.
Not only functional, this sturdy crate is an interesting part of Pennsylvania history.
