This is a very unique, vintage steel SCHOOL BUS sign from the 1970's, that was likely bolted on to the side or rear of a bus or van to transport children to and from school. The sign consists of two individual pieces, with a piano hinge in the center so it could be folded to a closed position when the bus was not being used to transport the kids to school. This is a one of a kind sign that would be a great addition to any collection.
The sign measures 37-1/2" wide x 10-1/2" tall.
Sign is in good solid condition as pictured, with fantastic patina. Typical cosmetic wear is present, including scuffs, scratches, dents, and finish loss. The hinge in the middle of the sign is "frozen" in the open position as pictured. It may be possible to free the hinge with lubricant.
