This is an antique , 4 legged, adjustable swivel piano stool, with iron claw and glass ball feet. Stool was made in the early 1900's, by Tonk & Co., of New York. Seat height is adjustable from approximately 18" to 23". The iron seat bracket on the bottom of the seat, is embossed with "Tonk and Co. New York".
This stool is in nice condition, ready for daily use. Seat "adjusting screw" works with ease. Simply turn seat left or right, to raise or lower as desired. Wood has fantastic patina, with cosmetic wear and imperfections, as displayed in the photos. A wonderful example of the design and craftsmanship from this time period. This is a good solid stool, not perfect, but still very nice, with lots of life left.
Stool measures approximately 14" across at the seat, and the height is adjustable from approx. 18" to 23".
