Antique Cast Iron Counter Balance Candy Scales with Brass Weights and Scoop, Mercantile, General Store
This is a fantastic, original, cast iron counter balance scale, with, brass weights and the original brass scoop. This scale was likely used as a candy scale in a general store, or possibly as a kitchen scale. It is sized perfectly to display, or it could be used daily as intended.
Scale is in good solid condition, and works great! Some cosmetic wear is present as shown in the photos. , with some light scuffs and scratches. The scoop has some small dings and dents, but free of rust and other structural damage.
Measurements: The overall measurements of the scale with the scoop in place are 13" deep x 14" wide x 7-1/2" tall. The plate that holds the weights measure approx. 6" deep x 4" wide. The scoop measures 13" deep x 9" wide" x 2" tall.
