Early 1900's Antique Wooden 12 Quart "Monumental Churn" Ice Cream or Butter with Wooden Paddle
This is a very early. primitive wooden 12 quart barrel / churn, that was likely an ice cream freezer or a butter churn. It is marked "12 Quart Monumental Churn" on the side. If comes with the original wooden paddle, handles, and lid. I believe is is complete with all of the components except for one missing metal band around the outside.
The overall measurements are approx. 14" across at the top, and stands 16" tall to the top of the wooden barrel.
The condition of this piece is really quite good considering the age and use that it has endured over the years. It is relatively solid, with expected cosmetic wear and patina. It is believed to be complete with the exception of one metal band missing around the outside.
