Kashmir Paper Mache Lacquer Box, Handmade in India from the Fetco Eclectic Collection
This is a beautiful, hand painted, Kashmir box. Rectangular in shape with rounded corners and a rounded lid this box was made in Kashmir, India. Made from paper mache and then lacquered, the box was hand painted with flowers in red, yellow, orange, pink, blue, purple and various shades of green leaves and stems. Fine lines and detail in gold.
Includes paperwork describing how Kashmir boxes are made.
Measures approximately 8" long x 6" wide x 3" tall.
Box is in very good, vintage, previously owned condition, with minor wear from use and age. Inside of box has some small scuffs and scratches that do not take away from the beauty or integrity of the box.
Perfect to hold jewelry or other keepsakes and display on your dresser or a small table.
