Very nice, Gongfu pottery teapot with built in strainer and matching four (4) cups. Made in Japan, this pretty little tea set has textured, black glaze with white, Japanese symbols. Tea pot has a bamboo over wire handle that is removable for easy cleaning.
Gong-fu tea brewing is the method of using the same tea bag over and over instead of steeping only once.
Teapot measures approximately 5-1/2" across including spout, and about 4" across pot only. Teapot is about 2-1/2" tall with lid, about 4-1/2" tall with handle extended.
Cups measure just under 2-1/4" across x 1-3/8" tall.
Pot holds about 1 cup or 8 ounces (240 cc).
Cups hold about 1/4 cup or 4 ounces (120 cc)
Teapot is in good, vintage condition with very minor wear. No chips, cracks, breaks or crazing noted.
