This is an antique, early 1900's Charles Parker, 4 Legged Adjustable Piano Stool, with Iron Claw and Glass Ball Feet. Seat height is adjustable from approximately 18" to 23". The iron bracket on the bottom of the seat is embossed "Chas Parker Co. Meriden Conn." Stool seat has a concave design for added comfort.
This stool is fair condition overall. Seat "adjusting screw" works with ease, simply turn seat left or right, to raise or lower as desired. Wood has fantastic patina, with normal cosmetic wear and imperfections, including scuffs, check cracks, nicks, and scratches. There is a piece of wood that has broken off and is missing from the center column of the stool, which is shown in the last photo. The seat has a slight wobble, but still very usable, especially when adjusted to the lowest position. The wobble is worse when the seat is raised. Overall, this is still a nice old Charles Parker stool, that would be a perfect display piece, and still solid enough to use.
Stool measures approximately 14" across at the seat, and the height is adjustable from 18" to 24".
