This is a vintage solid brass surveyor's transit level with a homemade wooden case. I believe it was made by Theodolite, but I was unable to find a maker's mark. The transit is being sold as a display piece or for a re-purpose project, and may be missing some components. The wooden homemade case is missing a strip of wood on both sides, as displayed in the photos.
Transit measures 10-1/2" long x 4-1/4" wide. The wooden case measures 15" wide x 9" deep x 9-1/4" tall.
This is a nice old Surveyor's transit that would be a great display piece on a side table or mantel.
