This is an original, 10" antique brass bucket with a wrought iron handle, produced in the mid to late 1800's by Hiram Hayden of Waterbury Connecticut. The bottom of the bucket is marked with the maker's information. Measures 10-1/2" across at the top, 8" across at the bottom, and stands approx. 7-1/4" tall.
Bucket is in good solid condition, and holds liquid. Free of rust holes with some dirt and age appropriate cosmetic wear. The bottom of the bucket is somewhat rounded, as it may have been left outside in freezing temperatures with standing water in the bottom, causing expansion from the ice. Wrought iron handle is in good shape with some surface rust. Bucket has been painted by a previous owner.
