This is a very nice, Royal Classic portable typewriter that would be perfect for a prop or as a display piece in your home. This machine appears to be in excellent working condition, but it is in need of repair, and with my limited knowledge of typewriters, I am not going to attempt to figure out what repair(s) it may need. When I tried typing a sample, the hammers do not hit the drum, instead they stop just before they hit. Also, the carriage doesn't move as smoothly as I expected it to, so that may need to be addressed as well. I am selling this unit as is, for repair, parts, or as a display piece. Also, returns will not be accepted for this particular unit.
