This is a beautiful, Art Deco style, white, horsehead bookend. Made from vitreous china in the 1940's by Abingdon Pottery, Knoxville, Tennessee, USA.
Part of the original sticker is on the back, and the horse is marked on the bottom underneath the felt.
Measures approximately 3-1/4" wide x 6" long front to back x 6-1/2" tall.
Bookend is in good, vintage, condition with some wear noted. There is a small chip on the back corner on the bottom. There are a few crazing marks around the mouth and on each side. Please see pictures for more details. No other chips, cracks, or damage noted.
*The bottom felt piece is partially unattached, we did not reattach this so the marking can be seen. This can be easily glued back on with regular craft glue if so desired.
Use as a bookend or just for display.
