This is a wonderful, antique, hand carved shaving mirror from 1872. The patent date "Sept 24, 72" is marked on the top of the storage compartment lid. This is a very rare, and unique opportunity to own this amazing historical piece. We were able to find the patent information about the maker's of this piece, and our research confirms that the patent date on this piece is true and correct. We have included a copy of the document, which confirms that L. Pearson and Burt Slusser, filed a patent registration request with the United States Patent Office, on September 24, 1872. CONDITION: The condition of this piece is quite remarkable, considering that it is more than 150 years old. The wood is in good, solid condition, showing very little cosmetic wear. There are no structural cracks, breaks, or other notable damage.
