1950's Pair of Two (2), Robin Hood, Fairy / Nymph, Continental Art Co. Table Lamps, MCM

This is an amazing pair of 2, Saxon Crusader, Robin Hood, table lamps, made in the 1950's from the Continental Art Company. The lamps were made from plaster molds that were created from sculpture designs made by Italian designers. These lamps feature male and female, wood nymphs or fairies with mushrooms.

The Continental Art Co. was located in Chicago, Illinois and made lamps from 1948-49 until 1962. Production stopped at that time after one of the owners, John Matanky, had a stroke.

The overall measurements for each lamp is approximately 12" wide x 8" deep x 24" tall to the top of the light bulb socket, and 30" tall to the top of the shade holder.

Both lamps are in good condition, with only mild cosmetic wear and imperfections. There are no cracks, breaks, or structural defects. Both lamps have new power cords, and are in good working order. Shade holders show some signs of age, with areas of tarnish and finish wear.

These fabulous, MCM, lamps are highly collectible and desirable for anyone decorating in an authentic, mid century style.
