Cold cast bronze is a process that mixes bronze powder with resin (polyester or epoxy) that is then poured into a mold and finished to look like bronze. This process allows for intricate details but is easier to work with and less expensive than real bronze.
Gregory Perillo is a well known artist, painter and sculpture who was known for his Western Art, bronze sculptures, "Cry of Vengeance" and "Buffalo Hunt". He was commissioned by the Staten Island borough president in 2015, to create a life sized bronze sculpture of a Native American, Lenape Chief.
Measures approximately 4-1/4" wide from side to side x about 5-1/2" front to back x 19" tall.
Statue is in good condition with some wear noted. There are a few, small, chips on the base in the back, but these do not affect the integrity of the statue. Please see pictures for details. No other chips, cracks or damage noted.
Beautiful, collectible, Native American, statue.
