This is a Heavy Set of 1922 PEERLESS Brass & Iron Fireplace Andirons, With Solid Brass Canon Ball Tops. The original metal "Peerless" tag is still affixed, and they are also embossed with the year "1922".
Measurements - The horizontal section that hold the logs measures 1" thick, and 17" long. The vertical upright measures 9" across at the footed base, and stands 15-1/2" tall to the top of the ball. The cannon ball measures 3-1/2" across.
CONDITION: Both andirons are in good solid condition - A solid, heavy duty set of andirons with expected cosmetic wear and surface rust as shown in the photos. There are no breaks, cracks, or other structural damage. The brass finish on the cannon ball tops shows some typical surface wear and discoloration.
Each andiron weighs about 8.5 Pounds.
