This is a Vintage, 1920's, Westclox Big Ben De Luxe, Style 2 wind up alarm clock. This clock was made between 1928-1930, this model was only made between 1927-1932 and specifically this clock model with crackle paint was only made between 1928-1930. Most of the paint is worn off, but you can see some green, crackle paint on the back of the clock.
It is made of metal and is marked on the bottom A, "RD 1927", Pat'd March 30-1927 Patents Pending.
Base measures 5.75" long x 2.5" deep. Clock face measures 4.5". Clock body measures approximately 5.5" x 2.5". Overall height is 5.75" tall.
Clock is in overall poor condition, the glass face is missing and there is damage to the face itself. Most of the numbers are still intact and legible, but are missing some paint. Both hands are intact as is the smaller, alarm set hand, however, clock does not work and alarm does not work.
In spite of all the damage, this clock still has a great patina, and would look great as a display piece with a couple of vintage books, or could be repurposed.
