This is an awesome antique art deco solid brass peacock / fan-fold fire place screen. It features an art deco woman, possibly a dancer, holding a ball or perhaps a globe. It also has what may be a gargoyle, at the bottom of the base. These features are on both sides of the stand, as it is two sided, and could be displayed showing either side. This is a wonderful old piece that is in good solid condition.
The unit is complete except it is missing the handle on the top. Other than that, it is ready to use or display. There are no cracks, breaks, or other structural damage. Some expected patina and general cosmetic wear is present, including a few typical dings and imperfections on some of the "fan blades". The 2 clasps that are used to hold the fan sections in the base when in the closed position, are in tact, and in good working condition.
It measures about 28" tall, and 46" wide when opened
