Lacquer Box with Lid, Kashmir, India, Hand Painted Floral Box, Gold Painted Box, Birds and Flowers
This is a beautiful, hand painted, Kashmir box. Rectangular in shape with rounded corners and a rounded lid this box was made in Kashmir, India. Made from paper mache and then lacquered, the box was hand painted with little, white flowers, possibly cherry blossoms, and a variety of different birds, on a gold background. The inside of the box and lid are painted black.
Measures 6.75" long x 4.25" wide x 2.5" tall.
Box is in very good, vintage, previously owned condition, with some minor wear from use and age. There is minor cracking and a few tiny chips on the inside of the box.
Perfect to hold jewelry or other keepsakes and display on your dresser or a small table.
