A 1917 Corona #3 Portable Folding Typewriter With The Original Case. This machine is in great shape, with very nice clean graphics, and it is in working order. (type sample shown in the last photo) The design is quite unusual, as the back half of it folds front and rests on the side frame rails. The latest patent date shown on the back is July, 1917
It is in nice condition, with no major damage. All of the keys work and return to the idle position freely. There are a couple of surface paint blemishes on the left side frame rail section, and perhaps some other minor imperfections..Its not perfect, as it is a pre-owned model, but it is a very nice old unit... A TYPING SAMPLE IS INCLUDED IN THE PHOTOS. The case is generally in pretty decent shape, except it is missing the front panel where the latch to the lid is supposed to be. A new ribbon may need to be installed by the new owner, and a good thorough cleaning and servicing should be considered as well..
MEASUREMENTS: Typewriter in the open position measures: 10 3/4" wide x 9-1/2" deep x 6" tall.
Case measures 11 1/2" x 10" x 5"
