This is a beautiful, antique, Thomas A. Edison Phonograph / Gramophone Horn, Cygnet No 10. The bell of this Morning Glory style horn has ten panels and a detachable, curved, elbow. The "Cygnet" model was called this because the smooth curve of the elbow resembled the curve of a young swan's neck.

Original paint and decals intact. It is marked, "Patented: Aug 22, 1905, Aug 28, 1906, July 2, 1907, Other Patents Pending".

CONDITION: Very good condition with no dents, dings, or rust noted. There are a few minor scuffs and scratches consistent with normal wear and age. Original black paint and gold trim with only slight areas of paint loss as seen in pictures.

Edison stopped making "open horn" phongraphs in 1913 so there are very examples of this type of horn in such good condition.

APPROXIMATE MEASUREMENTS: It measures 17" across at the wide (bell) end, and 20" long from the edge of the wide end, to the outside (or the back of) the goose-neck. The distance from the small end where the horn connects to the gramophone, to the outside of the goose-neck where in connects to the bell section, is also 20".
