A Very Early 1900's Antique Wooden Shelf or Mantle piece from an old local farm estate. As you can see in the photos, the right side of the shelf was constructed to have a straight or "squared" end because it may have been placed against a wall on that side, or perhaps it was modified at a later time to accommodate another location. In either case, this is an awesome old shelf, that is in good solid condition. It is free of decay and termite damage, and there are no structural breaks or cracks. The cracks that you see in the photos are NOT loose or broken pieces of wood, they are check cracks or stress cracks that are normal, and occur over the years from age environmental conditions such as humidity, temperature change, etc.. This is piece is good and solid. Some chippy paint, check cracks, and patina is present as shown in the photos.
It measures 30-1/2" long x 7" deep x 9" tall to the longest points.
