Vintage Butterscotch Bakelite Brooch with Reverse Carved Painted Pansy, Apple Juice Bakelite Pin

This is a vintage, Butterscotch Bakelite Brooch from the 1920's-1930's. This unique pin is reverse carved with a painted, pansy flower in the center. Eight sided pin has Bakelite edges forming a diamond shape around a center of clear, Apple Juice Bakelite center, with hand painted flower.
Pin has an open back allowing light to enhance the exquisite, multi layered detail of the pansy, which is painted purple and yellow with green leaves and stem.
Pin measures approximately 2" x 2" square across sides and 2-1/4" x 2-1/4" square across corners and is approximately 1/4" thick. Pin measures 1-1/2" long.
Condition: Very good, previously owned condition with minor scuffing and scratching from normal wear.
No cracks, breaks or chips noted. Locking C-clasp pin is in good working order.
This absolutely gorgeous, and unique brooch was acquired from a local estate and would be a wonderful addition to any vintage jewelry collection!
