This is a very unusual antique window sash with the original arch top / rounded glass. This window was the top sash of a double hung window that was removed from a Psychiatric Hospital in Chester County Pa., when the old original part of the hospital was fitted for new energy efficient windows. It features 4 rounded panes of glass in the top part of the sash, creating a "sunburst" pattern with the wooden mullions. The bottom portion has 3 rectangle panes of glass. It has red paint on the outside, and white on the inside. This is a rare opportunity to purchase such a unique window, that has stood the test of time, and remains in good solid condition.
It measures 33" wide x 30" tall x 1.75" thick.
CONDITION: It is in good solid condition with no major wood rot or decay. The frame is tight and solid with no loose areas, or wood separation. The glass is free of cracks, chips, and other structural damage. There is old paint on areas of the glass, and some paint loss on the wooden frame.
