Vintage Wooden Folding Safety Gate, Expanding Gate, Accordion Gate, C. J. Johnson Co. Bradford, Pa
This is a nice large wooden, folding / expanding gate, also called an Accordion or Scissor Gate. It has the makers information stamped on the one side: C. J. Johnson Co., Bradford Pa. It opens to a total of about 96" wide and can be adjusted to various doorways. This gate is made to be secured to one side of the doorway, and secured on the other side with a spring loaded "clip". The original hardware is included on the gate, but the eye hooks for the doorway frame are not included.
Measurements: When Closed - 12" wide x 33-1/2" tall. When open to 36" wide, gate is 33" tall, and when opened to 96" wide, gate is 26" tall.
Condition: Gate is in very good, previously owned condition, opens and closes without difficulty. There are no splits, cracks, or other structural damage.
Can be used as a gate, or re-purposed as wall decor, great, unique way to hang pictures!
