This is a very nice Original Schmidt's of Philadelphia Light Up Beer Sign from the 1970's. It measures 19" wide x 13" tall x 3.5" deep. It features a pull chain on-off switch, and is illuminated with a standard florescent bulb. The back and outer frame are made of metal, and the front multi-color face is plastic. This sign was retired from a local pub just outside of Philadelphia Pa.
It is in very nice condition, and works perfectly. There are no cracks, chips, or breaks, and the embossed graphics are in amazing condition, which is unusual for a sign that lived in a barroom for 40 years. There are some light cosmetic imperfections, and a small area on the bottom left corner that has "yellowed" slightly. (probably from years of use / heat from the bulb)
This is a great man cave light that would make an excellent Christmas gift.
