Asian Red Lacquer Smoking Box with Lid, Japanese / Chinese Cigarette Box, Lacquer Box with Inlaid Abalone
Beautiful, Asian, red lacquer, smoking box with inlaid abalone and removable lid. This Chinese / Japanese, lacquer cigarette or smoking box, has abalone shell inlaid on the lid and four sides. Inside the box there are three compartments; one to hold cigarettes, one for a lighter and a circular cut out for a small, metal ashtray, which is included.
Approximate Measurements:
Box: 11" long across bottom x 6-1/4" wide x 2-1/4" tall with lid on (1-3/4" tall without lid)
Larger compartment: 3-1/2" wide x 4-1/2" long x 1-1/4" deep.
Smaller compartment (for lighter): 1-3/4" wide x 2-1/4" long x 1/4" deep
Circular cut out for ashtray: 2-1/2" across
Ashtray: 2-3/4" across x 1/2" tall
Box is in very good condition, with slight scuffs and scratches from previous use. There are no cracks, chips or breaks noted.
Perfect to hold jewelry or other keepsakes and display on your dresser or a small table.
