Kashmir Lacquer Box with Lid, Hand Made in India, Paper Mache Hand Painted Box, Floral Painted Box, Flowers
This is a beautiful, hand painted, Kashmir box made in India. Made from paper mache and then lacquered, the oval box was hand painted with red, yellow and purple flowers with green stems on a black and gold background. The inside of the box and lid are painted black.
Measures about 3-1/2" long x 2-3/4" wide x 1-1/2" tall.
Box is in very good, vintage, previously owned condition, with slight wear from use and age. There is minor cracking and a few tiny chips on the inside of the box. Minor wear and imperfections as expected with vintage, handmade items.
Perfect to hold jewelry or other keepsakes and display on your dresser or a small table.
