Antique Straw Boater Hat, Mens Victorian Straw Hat, Skimmer, Synder's Perfection, Sennit Hat, Braided Straw Hat
Antique, straw boater or skimmer hat with black ribbon and bow. Also called a "canotier" or "sennit" hat, these were popular summer hats worn by men, and some women, in the late 19th century and early 20th century.
Quality, well constructed hat made from tightly woven, braided straw, interior is lined with net and silk fabric and the brim is leather. Size tag under bow on inside brim reads, "Snyder Says 7". The hat is marked "Snyder's, Stores Everywhere" and on the inside brim, "Synder's Perfection EF".
Measures approximately 12" long x 10-1/2" wide x about 3-1/2" tall.

This vintage hat is in good condition for its age with expected wear. No holes or tears noted. The left end of the ribbon loop has some fraying as seen in pictures.
