Antique Stingray Leather Purse with Belt Loop, Flapper Purse, 1920's to 1930's Leather Purse, Dance Purse, Small Clutch Purse, Coin Purse

Beautiful, antique, stingray leather, belt purse / clutch. Front of purse is made of stingray leather, with soft, light brown or tan leather on the sides and back.

Manufactured in the 1920's-1930's, and often called a "Loop Purse" or "Dance Purse", this clutch handbag has a loop or handle on the back so ladies could attach it to their dress sash or belt, and would have their hands free to dance!

Gold tone / Brass clasp is covered with stingray leather and lifts to open this small bag. The main pocket is divided by a center pocket or coin purse attached to purse frame with gold tone / brass rods. Center purse closes with kiss lock clasp. One slip pocket with original, matching pocket mirror. Interior of purse and back of mirror lined with satin material.

Purse is in very good condition overall, with expected wear for a pre-owned, antique purse. Leather is worn on the corners of the metal frame, more on the front corners. Please see pictures for more detail. No other rips or tears noted on exterior or interior of bag. Satin lining has some mild staining consistent with age.
