Hubley, 1950's, "Tex", toy cap gun. Made of die cast metal with chrome finish and very nice, etched, scroll detail. White plastic grips have embossed, black steer head on both sides, and metal star in circle. Barrel opens by pushing lever, to insert caps. Takes roll caps.
Both sides of frame marked, "Tex". Inside of frame with barrel lifted up is marked, "Hubley, Made in U.S.A., Pat.# 1993916".
Toy gun is in very good condition, with normal wear from use and age. No rust noted, but there is some oxidation and tarnishing of chrome finish, mostly around hammer. Hammer and trigger move but trigger has to be pushed back, possibly because springs are missing. Grip has small crack on left side and is slightly pulling away from frame on the right. Gun does not fire.
Measures approximately 7-3/4" long x 1-1/4" wide x 3-3/4" tall
Nice toy gun for restoration or just display!
"This replica gun contains an orange plug as required by many State's Laws and Etsy's selling Policy."
Minor imperfections may be present. See photos for complete details. Item sold as is.
