Very nice, vintage, Taylor, Six's, Maximum / Minimum, Self-Registering Thermometer, #5458. Often used in meteorology and horticulture, this U-shaped, mercury thermometer keeps track of the maximum and minimum temperatures reached over a set period of time. Made by Taylor Instrument Company, Ashville, N.C.
It measures about 2-1/4" wide x 10-1/2" long x 1-1/2" thick
Box measures 11-1/2" x 4" wide x 3-1/4" tall
In very good to excellent condition from the 1960's, this mercury thermometer is in it's original box with paperwork and looks like it was never used. Included- Original mounting screws to hang, and red magnet to reset.
