Wooden Oval Hand Painted Foot Stool, Folk Art, Tole Style, PA Dutch Painted Footstool, Primitive Stool, Whitney Furniture Footstool
Very nice wooden, painted, folk art, footstool. This old, four legged, Windsor style stool has an oval top with turned legs and rungs. Legs all have metal furniture glides.
Stool is painted black with hand painted fruit and flowers with green leaves on stool top. Underneath, the stool is embossed, "Whitney", possibly from the W.F. Whitney (Furniture) Company, Inc. Also, "Jenny 6/1/74" is hand painted on the bottom of the stool.
Stool measures 16" long x 7.5" wide x 9.5" tall.
CONDITION: In good solid condition with normal scuffs, and other cosmetic imperfections. Some cracks and repairs are noted on the bottom of the stool, but these do not affect the function or beauty of this vintage stool. Nice solid stool with great patina.
Sturdy enough for every day use, but would be perfect as a display piece or plant stand.
