Antique Pennsylvania Railroad BURRO Crane Tongs for Lifting Train Track Rails, 1-1/2 Ton Capacity
This is an early Pennsylvania Railroad Crane Tongs for Lifting Train Track Rails into place or to remove them for maintenance. It was manufactured by BURRO, and is stamped "Burro, 1-1/2 Ton Capacity, PPR, and the U.S. Pat. numbers. This is an awesome old railroad piece that would be awesome to have on display with your other railroad items. It would also make a great base for a table, or re-purposed into a light.
It is in good solid condition with no damage, and it is complete and ready to use.
It measure about 24" wide x 16" tall when fully extended as shown in the first photo, and 16" wide x 24" tall when in the closed (lifting) position as shown in the 2nd photo. .
