Very nice, vintage, 1965, Slingerland Snare Drum. Wooden shell has a beautiful, sparkle blue wrap. Snare head is Ludwig Rockers drum head. Batter head does not have marking that I could see.
Drum badge reads, "Slingerland Quality Drums, Ser. No. 15702, Assembled in Shelbyville, Tenn., U.S.A.", Slingerland made drums in Shelbyville, Tennessee in 1965 and 1966. This drum was made December 22, 1965, the date is printed on the inside of the wood shell but is difficult to read without removing drum heads.
Measures 15" across x 6-1/2 tall.
Drum is in overall good, vintage condition. Chrome hoops / rims appear to be in good condition. Lugs and hardware have some minor tarnishing and pitting in some spots but no rust noted. Minor scuffs and scratches to blue wrap from normal use. A couple snare wires are missing. Drum heads have some stick marks, scuffs and smudges from normal use.
This is a really nice, vintage snare drum, ready to use or display in your music room!
