This is a beautiful, hand painted, Kashmir, Lacquer, Trinket box. Rectangular in shape with rounded corners and a rounded lid this box was made in Kashmir, India. Made from paper mache and then lacquered, the box was hand painted with gold leaves against a black background. Box also has several hand painted birds in red, orange, yellow, green and brown.
Measures approximately 4-3/4" long x 3-3/4" wide x 2-1/4" tall.
Box is in very good, vintage, previously owned condition, with minor wear from use and age. Inside of box has a few minor scuffs and scratches, that do not take away from the beauty or integrity of the box.
Perfect to hold jewelry or other keepsakes and display on your dresser or a small table.
