Pennsylvania Dutch Handmade Wooden Foot Stool, Distelfink, Folk Art, Bird, Tulip, Heart, Hand Painted Wood Stool, Step Stool, Farmhouse
Very nice, handmade, wooden foot stool, painted in a Pennsylvania Dutch / German, folk art style. Well constructed, hand crafted stool has a hand painted top with the traditional, Penna. Dutch symbols including birds, tulips and hearts.
Originally made as a 40th Anniversary gift, the stool is personalized with the names, "Phyliss and Jim" on the top and their wedding and anniversary date, "October 12, 1956-1996" painted on the side of the stool top. This could be easily painted over if desired.
Stool top is signed by the artist, "P. Kline, 96" who lives locally in Hamburg, Pennsylvania. A sticker on the bottom of the stool describes the different symbols and their meanings, and has the artists name and information.
Approximate Measurements: 18" long x 9-1/2" wide and 10" tall.
Stool is in good solid condition with normal wear, scratches, dings and imperfections as expected with vintage, handmade items. It is sized perfectly to use as a display piece and sturdy enough for every day use.
