Beautiful, handmade, slip decorated, Redware dish, signed by Ned Foltz. Jagged edge dish is hand painted with tulips in the classic, Penna Dutch / German style folk art.
Foltz Pottery is located in Reinholds, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, where they have been making beautiful, red clay pottery pieces since the early 1960's, and continue to make high quality, Redware pottery.
Dish is signed with the Foltz Pottery Mark, "C N Foltz, The Foltz Pottery, Pc (?) 1989". There is a small heart stamp above this.
Pieces are made to be functional as well as beautiful and are safe to use with food, no lead is used in the glaze.
Measures approximately 5" across x 7/8" tall
Dish is in very good, previously owned condition. There are no chips, cracks or breaks noted. Normal wear and imperfections as expected with any vintage, handmade item.
Perfect for keys or jewelry but pretty enough to just display!
