Chinese Rice Grain Porcelain Teapot and Six (6) Cups, JingDeZehn Blue and White Tea Set, Chinese Teapot, Ceramic Teapot
Asian style teapot with built in strainer and six (6), matching cups, made in China. Teapot is rice grain pottery with pretty blue pattern around top and bottom as well as on lid and cups. Cups all have chrysanthemum flower on the inside bottom.
Rice grain pottery is made by poking holes in the piece, then filling with glaze before firing, creating a translucent, sheer pattern.
Teapot measures 8-1/2" across from handle to spout, about 4-1/2" wide not including spout x 5-3/4" tall to top including lid (4-3/4" tall without lid).
Cups measure about 3" across top x 2-1/4" tall. Base measures about 3-1/2" across.
Teapot comfortably holds 4 cups (32 ounces or about 960 cc) of liquid.
Cups hold 1/2 cup (4 ounces or about 120 cc)
Teapot set is in very good condition, with very minor wear noted. No chips, cracks or breaks noted. Very mild staining noted on inside. No damage noted to the handle.
Would make a great gift idea for a tea lover or for anyone who loves pigs!!
