This is a nice vintage 1950's steel wire milk crate from Sani Dairy (Sanitary Dairy Company) of Johnstown, Pennsylvania. The corners are marked "SANI DAIRY" and "United Steel Wire Co.". The Sanitary Dairy Company (Sani Dairy) was founded in 1902, and was one of the largest dairies in Pennsylvania.
All 4 sides and bottom are heavy duty steel. This is a fantastic old crate with awesome patina!
Measures 13" long x 13" wide x 10-1/2" tall
Crate is in good, vintage condition, with some paint loss and cosmetic wear from age and use. Not only functional, this sturdy crate is an interesting part of local Pennsylvania history.
