Edmond Nogar 3D Oil Painting on Glass, Handmade Stereographic Forget-Me-Not Painting in Gold Leaf Wood Frame, Signed and Numbered

Beautiful, handmade, hand painted 3D, oil painting of Forget-Me-Not flowers, by Edmond J. Nogar. Different parts of the flowers, leaves and stems are painted on several panes of glass. The glass panes are then placed into a deep frame, on top of each other with a small amount of space in between each of them, giving the finished picture a three dimensional look.

Glass panes are secured into the wooden frame with a metal band that is screwed onto the back. Frame is painted in gold leaf, marked on the bottom of the back of the frame along with the frame style number.

Label on the back is signed by Edmond J. Nogar, "Forget-Me-Not", serial No. F-9873, Pat. Pend. in Bowie (Pointer Ridge) Md.

Edmond J. Nogar was a Lt. Colonel in the United States Air Force and served in WWII. According to his nephew, the artist got the idea for his unique paintings while stationed in France at the end of WWII.

Frame measures approximately 7-1/2" long x 9-1/2" tall x 1-1/4" thick
Visible part of painting measures approximately 5-1/2" long x 7-1/2" tall.

Painting and frame are in good, pre-owned condition with no cracks, breaks or other structural damage.
Minor wear and imperfections as expected with vintage, handmade items including minor scuffs, scratches and dings.
