This is an unusual Antique Dietz No. 2 Blizzard Kerosene Lantern, with a large galvanized metal tank / reservoir. Includes the original glass, and lantern is marked "Dietz Blizzard No. 2, New York, USA".
This lantern, may have been used for carriages, or as an railroad inspector's lantern.
It measures 8-1/2" across at the base, and stands 19" tall, not including the handle.
Condition: This lamp is in good solid condition as shown in photos, with some cosmetic wear consistent with its age. Lantern burner has not been tested.
There are no cracks or breaks in the glass, and fuel tank does not leak.
